WHAT IS A CHECK CODE AND WHY DO I NEED IT?
We need you to obtain a check code before we can take you out on the road. This is a code generated instantly by the DVLA online that enables businesses like driving schools, insurers, rental/car hire companies or any authorities to view/verify an individual's driving licence history and entitlement to drive in a secure way.

There are three bits of information you will need to provide online to obtain your code.

The postcode on your driving licence
HOW DO I DO IT?
Step 1: Click the above link to access the gov.uk website
Step 2: Enter your details as above
3. Click 'get your check code' followed by 'get a code'
4. Send us your code!
Each code is valid for 21 days and can only be used once. Once this code is expired you will need to follow the steps again to obtain a new check code so please pass your code to your instructor as soon as you have generated it. It is case sensitive!
